Since my daughter was five years old, we shared a special exchange of love. Every time she said, “Mommy, I love you,” I would respond, “I love you to the moon.” She would then say, “Well, I love you to the sky,” and I would add, “And I love you all the way up to heaven.”

It was our way of measuring a love that felt immeasurable, stretching from the ground up and beyond the skies. It was deep, unshakable, and without limit. And every time I think about that love, I am reminded of the even greater love God has for us.

The psalmist wrote, “Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.” (Psalm 36:5) What a powerful image! If the love I have for my daughter feels vast and endless, how much greater is the love of our Heavenly Father? His love is not just high—it is infinite. It cannot be measured, contained, or diminished. It is constant, even in the moments when we don’t feel Him near.

Yet, the question remains: Do we love Him as much as He loves us?

There are times when life makes us feel alone, unseen, and unloved. But take heart—God’s love for you is unwavering. It is a love that is not based on who you are or what you’ve done but on who He is. His love brings comfort to the weary, healing to the broken, and strength to the weak. It is the kind of love that transforms hearts and fills the emptiest places of our souls.

And when we truly grasp the depth of His love, it enables us to love others deeply and fully. It moves us to be His hands and feet in a world filled with those who feel forgotten—women and children in crisis, mothers struggling to provide, young girls in need of hope.

A Prayer for You

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for a love that knows no bounds. A love that stretches to the heavens and reaches us even in our lowest moments. When we feel alone, remind us that You are near. When we feel unworthy, remind us that Your love is unconditional. And when we feel broken, heal us with the power of Your presence.

Lord, let Your love fill our hearts so that we may pour it out onto others. Open our eyes to the needs around us and give us the courage to act. May we be vessels of Your love, sharing kindness, hope, and provision with those who are hurting.
