“So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what He has promised.” – Hebrews 10:35–36

Do you remember the early days of your walk with God?

Maybe you were a child, full of wonder and excitement, wide-eyed at the idea that there was a loving Father in heaven who knew your name. Or perhaps you came to know Him as an adult—broken, tired, searching—and His love found you and wrapped around your soul like a warm blanket on a cold night. In those moments, your heart overflowed with joy. Every verse felt alive. Every prayer felt heard.

But then… life happened.

Responsibilities grew. People hurt us. Disappointments crept in. Little by little, we got distracted. Or worse—drifted.

The weight of life’s problems has a way of clouding the peace we once knew. It’s not that we stopped believing—it’s that we stopped breathing.

Breathing in God’s peace is not a one-time moment. It’s a daily necessity.

Just like our lungs require air to survive, our spirits require His presence to thrive. Peace isn’t found in the absence of problems—it’s found in the presence of God. And sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do is pause, take a deep breath, and say, “Lord, I receive Your peace today.”

Hebrews 10 reminds us not to throw away our confidence. Why? Because our faith is directly tied to our endurance.
When we persevere—especially through hard seasons—we will receive what God has promised. But we can’t do that on empty lungs and weary hearts. We need to inhale His Word, exhale our fears, and keep our spirits oxygenated with truth.

So, if today feels heavy…
If you’ve been running on autopilot…
If you miss that closeness you once had with God…

Stop.
Breathe.
And remember—His peace is still available. His promises are still true. His love hasn’t moved.

Prayer: “Lord, Help Me Breathe Again”

Father God,
Thank You for reminding me of who I am in You. I confess that I’ve allowed life to distract me, to overwhelm me, and at times, to distance me from the peace I once knew. But today, I take a deep breath and choose to return to You. Fill my heart with Your calm. Replace my anxiety with confidence. Remind me of the joy of my salvation.

I choose to breathe in Your presence moment by moment. Let Your peace guard my heart and mind, and give me the strength to keep going—trusting that You will finish the good work You started in me.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

With love and purpose,
