“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you.”
— Psalm 9:9–10 (NIV)
Let’s talk about something we’ve all whispered in tough seasons:
“I just want things to feel normal again.”
Maybe you’ve thought that too—after a painful breakup, in the middle of raising kids alone, or while rebuilding your life after betrayal. That longing for “normal” sneaks in, convincing us that peace is just returning to the way things were.
But here’s the thing: what if “normal” was never what God wanted for us in the first place?
When Familiar Isn’t Freedom
Sometimes, we miss what was familiar, not what was good.
Like the Israelites in Exodus 16—they were free from slavery, yet craving Egypt again because at least there, the food was predictable. They said, “If only we had died in Egypt, where we sat around pots of meat!”
Can you imagine?
But I get it.
When life feels uncertain, the old routine—even the painful one—can start to look tempting. I know that firsthand. As someone who’s walked through abandonment, financial struggle, and heartbreak, I’ve had moments where I missed the very places that once broke me.
Real Talk: “Normal” Is Not the Goal
Here’s what I’ve learned, and what I now teach the women I mentor:
✨ 1. God didn’t save you to return you to average.
He saved you to heal you, grow you, and launch you into something better.
✨ 2. The ache you feel isn’t weakness—it’s awakening.
You’re not crazy for wanting peace. You were just never meant to settle for dysfunction.
✨ 3. What you lost was painful, but what you’re building?
That’s purpose. That’s legacy. That’s freedom.
At Life on Earth Ministries…
We see you.
We serve women and families who’ve been through hard things—abandonment, toxic relationships, poverty, single motherhood, and even human trafficking. We help them rebuild with dignity, support, and spiritual guidance.
And we believe this:
You are not broken. You are blooming.
Your past doesn’t define you—your healing does.
✝️ A Word of Truth
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18
Whether you’re healing from betrayal, finding your voice again, or simply trying to breathe in a new season… God is not ashamed of your pain. He’s holding space for your healing.
