• Moses thought he was done at 80, only to lead the greatest rescue mission in history.
• Anna was 84 when she finally saw the Messiah she’d been waiting for—and became one of the first evangelists.

God doesn’t operate on our timeline. And He certainly doesn’t retire us at 40, 50, 60, 70, or 80.

Your faithfulness in the “ordinary” seasons wasn’t wasted time. It was preparation.

Your Job and Family Aren’t Your Whole Story

Let me be clear: Your daily responsibilities matter deeply.

Showing up for your family? That’s sacred. Working hard at your job? That honors God. Keeping your commitments? That’s beautiful faithfulness

But those things are part of your purpose—not the sum total of it.

You were created with specific gifts, burdens, and passions that are uniquely yours. They’re woven into your DNA. They show up in what breaks your heart, what lights you up, what keeps you awake at night.

And God wants to use them—not someday when life finally slows down (spoiler alert: it won’t), but right now, right where you are.

Three Questions That Changed Everything

When Claudia told me she had “no idea where to start,” I didn’t hand her a 10-step plan or a vision board exercise.

I asked her three simple questions:

1. What breaks your heart?
What situation makes you say, “Someone should do something about this”? What injustice or need stirs righteous anger or deep compassion in you?

2. What lights you up?
When do you feel most alive? What activities make time disappear? What would you do even if no one paid you?

3. What do others affirm in you?
What do people consistently thank you for? What do they ask for your help with? What gifts do they see that you might take for granted?
