There is something sacred about the days leading up to Palm Sunday.
You can sense it—a gentle stirring, a sacred anticipation, almost like heaven is drawing near.

Today, my heart is especially with you, my Bible Chicks. You are women who love deeply, who hold both faith and questions, and who is learning to trust God not only in the bright moments but also in the uncertain moments.

Come sit with me for a moment. Let’s jump into this story together.

The Day It All Commenced to Shift

The scene begins in Jerusalem, a crowded, energetic city. People had gathered for Passover, a time already rich with meaning as they remembered how God once delivered them.

But this time… something more was happening.

Enter Jesus Christ.

Not on a war horse. Not with an army.
But on a humble donkey.

That was no accident. It was prophecy coming true, resonating with the words of Zechariah, who spoke of a King who would arrive gently, bringing peace instead of power.

And then there was the crowd…

Oh, the crowd.

Some were curious. Some were desperate. Some believed with their whole hearts that this was the moment their Savior would finally take His throne.

They laid down palm branches. Cloaks. Pieces of their own lives on the road before Him.

“Hosanna!” they cried.
“Save us!”

It was worship. It was hope.
And yet… it was also a misunderstanding.

Because they were expecting a conquering king.
But God was disclosing a  suffering Savior.

The Cast of Hearts in the Story

If I may borrow from Max Lucado’s storytelling style, let’s slow down and look at the cast of characters, because, dear friend, we are part of this story too.

There is the hopeful crowd, praising loudly one day and feeling uncertain the next.
There are the disciples, close to Jesus but still not fully understanding His mission.
There are the religious leaders, watching, questioning, and trying to keep control.

And then… there’s you.

Yes, you.

The one who has lifted your own “Hosanna” prayers,
“Lord, save this relationship.”
“Lord, fix this situation.”
“Lord, show up the way I expect You to.”

We have all stood in that crowd, praising God while quietly hoping He will do things our way.

What Was Really Happening

Palm Sunday wasn’t simply a celebration.
It was the beginning of the most profound act of love the world has ever known.

Jesus was not entering Jerusalem to claim a throne.
He was carrying a cross.

Every step that the donkey took was one step toward sacrifice.
ward redemption..
Toward you.

And here is the tender truth I want you to hold close today:

God will not always show up the way you expect…
But He will always show up with love greater than you imagined.

For the Woman Still Waiting

Maybe you’re in a season where your prayers feel unanswered.
Maybe your “Hosanna” hasn’t turned into the miracle you hoped for.

Stay with Him.

The same crowd that shouted “Hosanna” would, days later, fall silent.
But Jesus never changed.
His love never wavered.

And it hasn’t wavered for you either.
